Hi to you all that may be able to help!
My parents have this Samsung TV as their second unit that's not much used because of this weird issue. TV held up 5+ years greatly until one day this problem developed. I replaced the caps on the PSU because few of them were bulging, didn't affect this issue, and this syptom must be in the mainboard.
Unit works great and all but in three channels (YLE 1, 2 and 5, channels in Finland) that are low frequency band channels, tend to stick and then catch up, jerk so to speak, under faster movement. This doesn't occure in any other channels. Fixes that have been already tried:
Using aerial and cable connection in different places with different cabling and in both cases problem stays.
Switching places in the channels, affects none.
Factory resetting.
Problem stays if the unit is cold or warms up.
I have some knowledge of the electronics but it's mystery to me that does the tuner work somehow differently under different channel packs or frequencies.
Are there any components I should measure that could manifest themselves in a behavior like this? Should I just use this as a monitor for PC and forget trying to troubleshoot because it works fine as one and has great picture.
