So I got one of these monitors for free, and I'd like to put it back into action. I plugged it in and got no power, so I opened it up (it's really easy to open). Found 3x 25v 220uF CapXon KM's that were bad, one pushed its bung out and skyrocketed. I replaced them with 560uF 25V nlC caps. I went through and did all of the others except the 2200uF 25V cap, using a combination of Marcon, Nichicon, and nlC.
As the pictures below will show, I bridged out the fuse marked on the board F200, it's obvious due to the copper wire going over the top. The backlight came back, and neither of the MOSFETs get hot when they're on, so I'm assuming they're not bad.
However, I checked the voltage on the pin marked, "13.8V" and it was .9V. Not sure why, or where to look next. It acts like it however can sense video coming in, as it will go to sleep if I don't plug a video source in, if I do, it will stay awake, just no video.
Any thoughts as to what this is?
