    TC-P65VT50 - blink codes

    Hi,

    I've got a TC-P65VT50 and it works fine, but, occasionally as of recent, sometimes when I turn it on, all I get is a blink code of 1 repeating over and over. If I unplug it for a minute, and then plug back in, all is fine.

    Does anyone have a service manual and/or a blink code listing for the TC-P65VT50?

    Also, I'd like to hear some tech opinions on this: I just got a hefty APC UPS, an SMX1500RM2U sine wave based UPS for the sole use by the TV and, coincidentally, we had a very bad lightning storm (extremely close to my house). I'm just wondering if the UPS could be causing the occasional 1 blink symptom.

    For what it's worth, I'm not an electrician but computer tech savvy.

    Any thoughts on this issue are greatly appreciated.

    Guess what , i live in darwin, ((lightning capital of Australia)

    UPS alone will not protect it.I had one connected.These are vulnerable from any device connected especially HDMI ports and cable/antenna systems.
    I had a strike very close that went through the house. TV and set top box damaged via antenna which passed through the set top, took out it's HDMI port which then took out the TV hDMI port connected, lucky the rest of the board survived.

    1 blink is generally A board and replacing it is often the only solution, no idea really how you'd fault find it. Guides just say replace A board.

            Well, I've put up with the intermittent red light 1 blink problem for a while now - having to pull the power cord and waiting, then plugging in and often the TV will start. I've tried to get the A board, TXN/A1QUUUS - but no one has it. I hate to through out a $3,000 TV that's only 3 years old because the part isn't available.

            Anyone know a way to get the part, TXN/A1QUUUS ?

                Yeah - I saw that site. Encompas is part of Panasonic's supply chain. They won't sell to the public.
