    Re: Samsung LE46M86BD Constant Restarting

Hi there! I had the same issue. Buzzing sound in left speaker, on/off loop.
I also broke two pads while desoldering the capacitors, but luckily they where the ground pads that where joined to the ground plane by 4x1mm traces in the pcb.
I just scrubbed the coating a little bit just beside and measured for continuity and made "new pads" scrubbing.
Soldered the replacement capacitors (Panasonic 8mm). And got it working right away.
Before this fix I had to fix also the power supply board because the brown glue made a mess in some components. 5,4V part was not working at all. It has been tough, but it was totally worth!

Thank you everyone for your support.

I've also tried measuring the dc volts going into the mainboard according to the small schematic. The schematic seems to read upside down to what I would have thought but I successfully managed to read the 5.2v pin. With the lead plugged in though again I can't measure because the probes are too large.
You can wrap a resistor leg or capacitor leg (cut off from the resistor or capacitor) and wrap it around the end of your meter probe and tape it so as not to slide off to act as a thin meter probe.
Willing to help but I'm no expert.

Thank you , for research - most problems in this tv are capacitors 1000uf 10v which are in metal shield around processor.
replacing them all stay working best.
        thanks

Got another TV headed for the dumpster the other day.
Nice TV although it has those silly One Connect input boxes.

When TV is plugged into mains you see the backlights flash on amd off a few times then you get red error flashes at the status light. Backlights 'looks' uneven at startup but i have learned that looks are deceiving and they should be tested.

When i took the back off i unplugged the mainboard and the LEDs came on and stayed on. I then tested each led with my backlight tester and their voltages and amperages all read the same. So this eliminated...

Hello, I have been trying to see what the problem is with this TV.
After doing some tests i found out that the must be some kind of short on the panel.
The problem is on the main side of it . By testing in didode mode i find a pair of capacitors on each cof short. The panel has 7 cofs so i can see 7 pairs of capacitors with problem.
This only happens when the tv is on and the cables to the panel connected. You can hear sound but ths screen is kind of ...dark blue.
Changing the channels turns the screen black momentarily and then the screen changes to dark blue again....

Samsung H6400 random restarts or black screen
            by nubinator
TV works as normal for a few seconds then either get black screen or restart and will continue doing this randomly. If it goes to black screen subtitles and sound keep working.
In HDMI will get the random reboots but takes longer. With TCON disconnected it still randomly restarts. is this main board issue?
