Hi all,
I got this Samsung HDTV back in 2008 or thereabouts and it never gave a day's bother until I installed it in my new Log Cabin out in the back garden. It worked fine for about 24 hours and then two of the capacitors popped today when I switched it on. I have ordered replacements and hope that that is all that is wrong.
Just wondering if anyone can advise whether this might have occurred due to a coldish night that brought a considerable amount of condensation to the doors and windows of the cabin that only started to clear at around 13.00. Did condensation form on the circuitry also and cause the PSU to blow? What does this imply for the future (can I have a TV in the cabin)? Shouldn't the operating temperature of this TV be a little more forgiving? I certainly wasn't expecting this to happen within 24 hours of installation. Would it make a difference if I left it on standby? Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Paul.
