Toshiba 42XV555D dropped by couriers...

This TV was dropped by couriers (Parcelforce.)

There was no outward damage. TV turns on and picture appears. No cracks on screen. However half the image is blurry a lot like a tab bond defect. Also there's an odd pattern in the top corner of the screen.

Cause is a micro fracture on the edge of the panel, not visible from the outside.

This was a friend's TV... they lived 200 miles away and the only way they could think of getting it up here. Unfortunately the couriers broke it on the way up. Stripped it for bits... if anyone needs the parts, PM me.

Oh--Bad luck there Tom....

That odd pattern almost looks like moisture in the diffuser.....

Not covered unfortunately. So my friend's looking for a new TV now.
