found this TV at the dump, the screen is scratched pretty bad but i'd still like to get it running if possible. when i first plugged it in, i could hear the relay clicking over and over again as it was in a startup /shutdown loop.
i tried disconnecting the boards to see if the psu would power on its own but it doesnt.
so i used a 982ohm resistor between pin 1 and 3 of CNB811 (pin1 says on/off, and pin 3 says 7v) i get 5.27v at pin1 which clicks the relay and turns on the psu. all volts on the right side connectors seem fine, though i dont know what the 5 pin connector on the top is doing.0
the pins are not labeled so from the top pin being 1 i get:
pin1: 2.7v
pin2: 0
pin3: 0
pin4: 3.7v
pin5: 0.06v
the 14 pin connector below that has the standard 5vsb and 12v and gnd labels and all the pins appear to be having the right volts.
however the connector that goes to the inverter, on the left side of the board does not have the correct 24v. it only has 2.02v on the 5 bottom pins.
however this 2.02v is not immediately present. it starts off at around 1v and slowly rises to the 2.02
pin1: 0
pin2: 3.7v
pin3: 0.06v
pin4-9: 0v
pin10-14:2.02
so from what ive learned so far, i have a problem in the secondary side of the PSU, specifically the circuits that drive the inverter?
would the motherboard be likely to go into shutdown loop because of this?
