SAMSUNG LNT4053HX-XAA has bad TCON?

got another one here that my guts tell me is a bad TCON but could it also be something else?

pictures taken with both ribbon cables on, and then one at a time.

it seems messed up on both sides but better on one than the other.

still not really sure how the TCON exactly works and what taking off one of the cables tells us?

Looks like a bad panel to me.

Virtually every fault with an LCD which only affects a portion of the screen is the panel. There are very few exceptions.

ahh but good now i know to avoid those in the future
so its safe to say the other parts are fine..guess ill put em up on ebay!
