Repair Business

I want to start a repair business and want to know what type of scope is the best for consumer electronics. I also want to build a parts inventory. Are there any common parts i should have on hand?

Depends what kind of investment you want to make. A good scope is nothing without knowing how to use it, too.

I use a Rigol DS1074Z, I really like using it. It is over $600 USD (£480 GBP) but well worth it, it has helped me fix many TVs and paid for itself twice over.

Thanks Tom. I used to be an RF technician and used scopes a lot, as well as network and spectrum analysers. I already have a fluke multimeter, an analog meter, and ESR meter. I also have a variac. I need an isolation transformer and scope and I should be able to do most repairs.
