    Samsung QE55Q60RAT - no picture

    Hi friends,

a friend of mine gave me this TV to fix, with common SAMSUNG TV issue - damaged panel. Turning on, sound is present, but no picture. So I went directly to standard process, connecting two pads together with a wire ( see in the picture ), and then removing flex cables. With right flex connected, there was half screen working, but still no picture ( disappearing colors and similar weird stuff ) + working sound. With left flex connected, TV is restarting + working sound. I supposed, left side is damaged, so I then blocked all 8 CLK pins ( going from 0R resistors on the second picture ) on left flex, which is connecting to the board going straight to the panel. But this didn't fix the issue, it still behaves the same.
So my question is - do I need to block anything else? Or this is not the issue, nothing to do with panel ( something like missing voltage, etc )? Main board and those small boards connected to panel, are really bad designed, if we are talking about marking test points. There is no info, where is what voltage, and so on. I was able only to measure resistance to ground at all 8 0R resistor, which I believe are CLK signals. Both, right and left side have high resistance to gnd at all of the pins.

At this moment, I am out of ideas, and will be really thankful for any hint. If you need any other information, or photo, let me know. And thank you in advance for any help.

Update: yeah, maybe admin can delete this topic, since after reading some topics here, on TV section, related to samsung brand, I found out, that some models have common fault with diode arrays, located on that small board connected to panel. In my case, D001 was the culprit. But for future reference, the array is shown in attachment.

So what did you do, take it off, replace it, WHAT?
Hopefully they can get the badgering under control, the guilty need penalized. I will only be an occasional observer til then. Owner told me more than once that a mod told him to ban me. Guess that's my reward for contributing. So allow me to ban myself from posting on this site.

Hi. For now, I took it off, since I was unable to find the replacement diode array. I found some in my spares, but it was a bit bigger. Still have TV, so if I find sone replacement, I will solder it.
BTW, is there a big chance, that TV will be damaged without the diode array in a way, that it is unrepairable?

That's a very good question, some say it's risky leaving them off, some say they are more or less redundant, I don't know myself, maybe one of the supertech gurus does??
