I have a Samsung 40" when you first turn the tv on its like the back light flickers for about a 1min could be ok then for hours then flickers a lot more could this be the inverter transformer.thanks here is a picture of psu and inverter all in one

Check voltage across the 450V caps. It's probably not the transformer(s) as I'd expect only one block of bulbs to go bad, unless they are tied in some kind of series configuration.

Also BN44-######[A-Z] number from PSU would help.
