    Samsung PD50A450P1D

First things first. Thank you so much Tom for your help with this tv. I replaced the x-main and it worked perfectly. I have some questions though. first, there are some vr's on the y-sustain board that I dont see any reference to as far as where to get voltages from them or what they are supposed to be set at. The only one on that board with reference on the sticker is v-scan and I got that set. There are a couple others that I have no idea about. and second can you point me to the last firmware for this that I may update it, anda service manual for it. God bless what your doing over here man you are saving poor people like me a lot of money. Keep up the fantastic work.

The only one I'd check and set would be Vscan, and any other panel voltages on the sticker.

The others are to do with setting the waveforms and normally done with an oscilloscope.

Are you sure about the model, not PN50A450P1D or PS50A450P1 by any chance?

These manuals should be close, in troubleshooting ,adjustments there's a little bit on those other adjustments. Yfr etc

Not sure about the firmware, saw nothing at Samsung.com and only the PS50 shows?

If it looks good and panel voltages are good, sit back and enjoy I reckon.

forgive me its PN50A450P1D. I also have a 42 inch Samsung SPS4243X/XAA that when I am on a mostly white screen I hear a slight buzzing coming from the unit. Any Ideas on that? Thanks in advance to you all. Found a great new hobby here with you all and this site.

Should start a new thread for each TV but not that uncommon for Ysustains to buzz and loudest at full output which is a white screen.

depends how loud it is. usually only can be heard if the volume is down.

loose boards, loose heatsinks, polyester caps can all contibute with resonance of the cct.

I had an old LG that was pretty buzzy, combination of a large bank of polyester caps and a heatsink that was coming loose on it's brackets.

Used some clear polyurethane sealant and ran beads between the caps and around the base of the heatsink to absorb the vibration. worked pretty well too. Old 50Px5d with large IPMs on the boards.

Someone might have a more technically correct explaination.
