    Samsung Plasma clicking

I have a 2 year old Samsung PN51D530A3FXZA that won't power on. It clicks 5 times and nothing happens. I did a lot of research and based on what I found it seemed the problem was the PSU. I don't have any electronics knowledge, but I'm not afraid to attempt repairs, so I ordered a replacement board and just installed it, and I have the same problem as before. The attached picture indicates the board I replaced.

I waited a couple of minutes, unplugged the connector on the upper left of the PSU and plugged the power back in. The TV played the powering on sounds, but nothing happened beyond that. I unplugged the power, waited a couple of minutes, and reconnected it.

I then tried the same thing with the connector on the bottom, same result as above.

So now it's all back together, and I'm back at square one. I called the company that I ordered the part from, they're sending a replacement to me just in case, but I'm suspecting it's something else, which is why I'm coming here for assistance.

Thank you in advance for your help!

      Re: Samsung Plasma clicking

I have the Samsung PN50A550S1 Plasma. All four fuses (2 on PSU, 1 each on X and Y) test fine. I start hearing the music, then a click and various sounds while the TV cycles between off, on, noise, then off again and repeat. No visible cap swelling on any board.

I disconnected the X and Y boards from the PSU and had the same cycle of on, sound, noise, off, etc.

I forgot to mention, the Red LED on the front flashes simultaneously. the sound is usually a high annoying pitch. Here are photos of the boards:

You should check the main board. Possible failed tantalum capacitor.

I found these great service manuals on the forum. I ran the diagnostics on the Power Supply, and all the voltages checked out fine. i should have checked the voltages on the posts indicated in the manuals, but instead checked them inside the connectors which lead to a very scary spark. It turns out my main board is bad.
Any idea where I can find Samsung PN BN94-018688?
The Power supply was available from many suppliers including China, but I can't find any suppliers for new versions of the main board. the only others I found were on ebay - untested or dodgy.

I see the fuse on power supply but where are the others. I have insignia version of this tv and don't see any more fuses, not ceramic ones anyway?? Its doing the same exact thing.

I think there's something not quite right with that part number.

                Could it be BN94-01658B

Get the model number of that power supply. I might have one in my pile of parts. But personally I would change every cap in that power supply. Samsung is famous for using Capxon caps.
