Hi guys! So although I have little to no experience in fixing tvs, I'm always ready to learn something new. If this issue doesn't require too much work, I'm hoping I'll be able to fix it myself. If it does require work, at least I'll have an idea of what's causing the issue, so that when I take it to someone to fix it I'll be a bit more helpful.
So the issue is that last night I was watching a movie and suddenly, the screen faded to black (from left to right if that makes any difference). While the screen was dark, the audio was still functioning. I unplugged the tv and plugged it back in a few minutes later, hoping that a hard reset would help. The next time I turned on the tv, the screen glowed a bit, but then faded back to black.
I left it on for a while, maybe ten minutes or so, and the picture actually came back. I watched the movie for a bit longer, maybe half an hour, until the screen did the same thing.
From what I've gathered in searching through this and other forums, it sounds like it might be the T-con, but obviously I have no idea what I'm talking about so I'll leave it to you guys to correct me
Also, I bought the TV a year and three months ago, so it falls just outside of the Toshiba 1 year warranty (of course). Any help anyone can offer me would be fantastic, thanks!
