    Samsung PN42B450B1D My first Plasma

I got this Samsung PN42B450B1D from a guy I work with and at first he told me it was an LCD. Well I get it home and realize its a PLASMA. Ive never touched one but would like to learn more so I am HERE. Ive read a bit through Tom66's guide on plasma's https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=18542&. I couldn't seem to find anything about this issue specifically.
Here is what I can confirm
Power cord plugged in red light comes on.
press power button samsung tone plays and display turns on.
There are fixed vertical lines on the left had side of the screen.
I posted 2 pics 1 with connected to my computer and one with nothing connected.

I'm not sure where to start or if it even worth fixing.

Most likely you are looking at an unrepairable plasma panel fault.
This can sometimes, very rarely, be caused by a loose connector or defective logic board.
It is very common (panel failure) on Samsung plasmas.

Every circuit board is good, the panel is what is bad. The X-main, Y-main and main board on these frequently fail; other components last longer.
