I have a problem with my picture on LG Plasma model# 50PC1DR-UA and have read a thread earlier by tom66 that described it as "The picture is slow to update (motion blur) and has a purple or lilac tinge to it. When first turned on, it may look like a lava lamp that has not yet warmed up. The screen may not be evenly lit - it may look a bit "foggy". Half of the screen may be more distorted than the other half. When running, it may look like this (excuse the camera shake). This is in about 95% of cases the Z-sustain." He told me to test fuse and I tested them all and they are okay. I had this same sort of problem about a year ago and had to replace 6 capacitors that popped their top and that worked but unable to find any other bad capacitors now. Can anyone please tell me what else to look for? Will replacing Z-sustain fix problem?

Re: Lg Plasma tv has lilac color and blank spots
It is almost certainly a Z-sustain fault. You can have the Z-sustain repaired or buy a new one. I have seen used (from scrapped TV) Z-sustain for about £45 and repairs around £100.Please do not PM me with questions! Questions via PM will not be answered. Post on the forums instead!
