    Toshiba 37XV505DB EEFL Tube gone?

I have a Toshiba 37XV505DB that I have been playing with for the last few weeks. I have eventually got it working but it has a shadow down the screen as if a lamp might be blown. I thought lamps were horizontal but this is a vertical shadow.
I have replaced the original inverter with a 2nd hand one as this seemed to be the problem. Could a blown lamp have caused the original inverter to become faulty?
I also noticed that functions such as brightness etc.. don't work
The LCD Panel is LG Philips LC370WUN(SA)(B1)

There are multiple tubes in these panels, so I'd think more likely you have a panel problem or some consistent issue with the inverter output.

      Thanks for your response.
How can I check the output of the inverter due to them being such high voltage?
My multimeter is Cat III 1000v dare I use it?

I've attached a picture of the original inverter(which had bad caps as well as another problem)

No, you can't check the output with your meter, it is over 3,000V.
