    Samsung LN46A530P1FXZA

    Hi need a opinion on this set. Comes right on but left side of screen has horizontal bars halfway to middle of screen and reddish tint on right side of screen.Once its on for a few min it goes away and pic is good. Sometimes when switching channels it will come back with some ghosting on right side and then go away.I am thinking not the panel but could be wrong, seeing how its limited to the right side and comes and goes i am thinking tcon. Whats the experts on bad caps thoughts?

    Checked all caps visually no puffed ones, disconnected all cables and reconnected with no change. here are some pics of it on.Could not get horizontal bars to come back when taking pics just darkness and red tint.

    Forgot to mention after 10 to 15 min on pic is perfect as shown in this pic

        Definitely looks like bad tab bonds to me.

          Hi Tom respect your advise as usual and thanks for the reply. After your opinion on it being tab bond problem i started checking more thoroughly.When two thin horizontal lines start to appear it then gets darker on right side giving a light rap on right side of front bezel picture goes back to normal.So i turned it off and it starts over again.Another thing i noticed is that once i rap it and get the picture good re rapping on it does not make it go bad no matter how hard or where i rap it.

          The weird thing is i turned it on one time and got some horizontal rolling and then picture went upside down? WTF is that?

            Guess i will try the pressure pad fix and see if i can get some time out of it.

            I am also going to experiment with some bad panels i have with the tab bonds.I am one who hates to be beat.There has to be a way to repair these things.I rebuild automatic transmissions for a living and hate to be licked by them to i have come up with a lot of fixes for them that i was told could not be done.Thanks again
