I have searched the entire internet for an answer to this question. I have a 60" Pioneer Elite 607PU that flickers on all inputs. It will flicker with no video input and the volume adjusted up or down (puts a small insert on the screen). Note the whole screen flickers not just the volume adjustemnt screen. With no input at all the screen will remain black. If you select the video inputs (with no other video input) the screen will not flicker. The video input is a small square in the top right corner.
I have had two TV repair people come out. One replaced the caps on the PS and the main board and then quit saying he hates Pioneers. The next said it was the Y-Sus which I changed and have the same symptom. I ordered a logic board because it was only $30 which I will try tonight.
One last bit of important info was that the original symptom of the fail was a vertical bar running down the screen in multiple places. If I turned the set on and off the v- bars would go away. Note: I have not seen the bars lately. Also the flickering went from 4 quick sucessive flashes in a minute to continuous over a period of a week.
Has anyone seen this or have an idea what the issue is? X-sus Y-scan etc?????????????
Please help...
