Hi, I have a problem with my tv, the screen wont turn on at all and its making a really loud buzzing noise. the audio works cause i can hear the sound when you turn tv on and off. I oppened the back and looked for any blown capacitors because i hear this is a common problem whit this tvs but cant find any of them blow. When ever I discconect the X and Y main boards at the same time from the power board the buzzing stops but if I leave one of them connected you can still hear the sound. I'm not sure what else to look for in order to figure out what them main problem is, if anyone could help I would really appreciate it thanks.

Do you have access to a volt meter? You need to check vs voltage to the board on the left and right. Hate to say it but from what you said the loud buzz you are heating might be attributed to a cracked panel. Do you see any cracks in the screen?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your panel is probably cracked if it is making a buzzing sound.

It is very common with Samsung plasmas - hear a small "pop" then suddenly there's a tiny fracture on the edge of the panel and the panel is wrecked. Sometimes the picture fades out but usually it just goes immediately.

If you contact Samsung, they know this is a very common defect (they try and cover it up but do the research and you will discover a lot of people in the same predicament), and if you argue your case, you should get a new TV or panel swap. I'd go for store credit personally so you don't have to deal with another poor quality Samsung product

Man that is bad news, at this moment I don't have any volt meter with me and I haven't seen any cracks on the screen but maybe I have to look closer, I will chek and keep you guys updated thanks for the help.
