    Hitachi P50T501 display issue

I have a Hitachi P50T501 plasma tv ,,dealer supplied a new main board,,,before installing ,,found bad caps on power supply,,,buffers looked in bad shape also....main board ,,,power board,,,buffer boards were all replaced.....TV now powers up,,sound good,,picture nice and bright ,,,very clear,,,no motion ,,ghost issues....only issue is screen is like looking through venetian blinds,,,about every inch is a black line which goes across the screen...tryed re-seating ribbon cables,,but problem appears to be input problem related to the whole display,,to the fact it affects the whole picture ,,not just one part......any ideas???? gbaum

I know you said you've reseated the ribbon cables but have you reseated all of the ones going to the X-drive boards? (Usually on the bottom, and sometimes also on the top of the screen.)

I also am having the same problem. I replaced the Y buffers, the main board, the caps in the power supply.

The Y buffers would not let the TV come on. It comes on with a prefect picture but I have the horizontal black lines. Were you successful re-seating the X connectors?

        Thank you

Targa, that is a pretty typical symptom of the connectors not being seated correctly. It's pretty hard to get right. You'll just need to remove them and try again.
