I'm new to the forum so bear with me. I was given the tv for some repair work and want to try and salvage it. When I switch it on, the green led lights up and I can hear it click, then about 20-25 seconds later it clicks agin and the light turns off then comes back on. Thats it, no sound and no picture. I've been reading other posts about this particular model but different chassis number and about the only difference I see is the backlight inverters. I've checked the 24v going to the inverters and the 5, 12, and 24v going to the main board and all that is good. So now comes my question, can the main board and the inverters be checked other than busted caps which i didnt find? What else can i check? Thanks for reading.

You can check for signals such as INV_ON which will tell you if the inverter is being told to turn on; if it isn't, suspect the main board, if it is, suspect the inverter.

Hi!!
Yesterday I was installing a new Wifi thermostat for my domestic gas water heater model Vaillant 242/2-3, and accidentlly one wire from mains touched one wire from the thermostat output contacts. This shut off the heater so I finished installing the thermostat and then went out to check the heater
I found one fuse blown (T2 250V). Replaced it with another equivalent fuse and it blew right away. I measured L-N in mains input and I sometimes got 4K but sometimes, not sure why, I got 100 Ohm...
