    Samsung LE40R84B restarts after 20sek

    Problem with Samsung LE40R84B

I have tried to change the bad caps on power board, and the tv still just clicking, then I changed the eeprom, and the tv fires up, I can see the picture for about 15-20sek and then the tv goes off and then comes on again, this repeats in infinity... any idea?

I have even tried two different eeprom (one "orginial" from samsung, and one equivalent with same specifications)

    Have you tried -

    TV in standby
On remote: INFO, MENU, MUTE, POWER.
    Select Factory Reset.
    Power TV on again.

Anyone has any clue what could be wrong? Im stuck!

On power board there is a Pin that is marked "DIM", what is that? It has 3,6V when tv starts. 1V just before backlight lights up, and then it oscillates between 3V to 3,5V.

DIM is the brightness for the LCD screen.

I just got hold of a samsung le40r89 (with clicking problem that I fixed), the tv is basically the same.
So first tried switching power board, same problem there, so I swtiched it back.
Next I tried switching the digital board, and that solved the problem! Digital board / tuner board has to be broken. End of story...

            Thanks tom66 for help anyway!
