Sounds like a buffer is still failed. Have you tried removing one?

I've unplugged both buffers but the clicking remains. The top IPM chip on the "used" Y-Sus board does not warm up like the other one. It sounds like the clicking is coming from that chip also.

And I'm guessing the clicking goes if you unplug the Y-sus?

        How long between each click?

Check for stray dust or solder... I found an LG Plasma at the local tip which was not working but I cleaned all the dust out and what do you know it starts working again . I think it was cigarette dust because it smelt awful.

The clicking is fairly frequent, about once or twice a second. I'll try to clean it...

Ok. I purchased a brand new Ysus board today and installed it. The screen works but I get no picture, menu, or volume bar displayed on the screen. Is this caused by a main board?

Most likely you forgot to connect something. I am guessing you mean the screen glows but you get no image data. Check the Va power connector for the X buffer is plugged in - this is the little cable going from either Y-sus to X board or Z-sus to X board (sometimes both.) Also, check that the data cable going to the Y-sus is properly seated. And the LVDS connector - from the main board to the control board - check that.

Do you get sound, at all?

You were right, I didn't have the LVDS connector seated all the way on the main board!
                I just need a top Y-buffer now

                Thanks!

So is it fixed? I have the same tv, no pic just sound, with the clicking coming from the ysus board. How do you know you need a y buffer? I was hoping to fix by only replacing the ysus.

                  Thanks,
                  Russ

Problem with LG Plasma 60PM6700 - Random power downs
                    by theone111
I have an LG Plasma TV 60PM6700 for the past ~12 years.

In the last ~3-4 months I have been having some issues.
                    1. Problem: It started with random picture disappearing (sound still worked).
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait a few seconds before turning it on again.
                    2. Problem: Then it got worse and the TV started to shut down and when turning on the no picture just sound.
Frequency: Happened about once a week.
Solution: Had to turn off TV wait about 10-20 seconds and turn it on again to solve.
                    3. Problem: TV shuts down

No Power problem with Vizio E60-E3
                    by rajbot
                    Hi all:

I have a Vizio E60-E3 I am trying to troubleshoot a no power problem with. Thanks to the help on this board and elsewhere, I was pretty sure I had narrowed it to a power board problem. The board in question is a 09-60CAP0D0-00. Image attached for reference, but not of my board (tv is put away at the moment). FWIW, no obvious looking issues with the board.

I measured voltage at power in and on the fuse and saw 120V, so power is getting to the board.

On the pins out to the main board, I got no voltage at all on any of the pins. I assumed this...

panasonic TH-42PC77U plasma television half screen problem
                    by renech
                    hello,
I hope someone on this forum can assist me.
                    I have a panasonic TH-42PC77U plasma television.
the lower 1/2 of the screen has become flaky....in and out, then finally goes black and you can only see the top portion.
i have performed the reset to default settings quite a few times. Panasonic recommended..did not believe this would help...it didn't.
I have removed the back panel and looked around for something obvious...burn marks in a board, etc....nothing obvious...
I have read some posts that suggest the problem is related to the boards on the left...

                    Thinkpad X1 Carbon "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021" VCC3M problem
                    by Zeonalbasta
                    i have a problem with thinkpad X1 carbon gen 2 "LMQ-1MB 12298-2 48.4LY26.021"
The laptop was turned off because the MOSFET was not transmitting voltage. After checking it turned out that the gate pin on the MOSFET was the problem, because it was producing an inappropriate voltage. and it was discovered that the problem was with the Think engine, so I decided to reprint each pin, and finally the mosfet could work properly. However, there is another problem, even though the voltage has been supplied to the laptop, it still won't turn on, there isn't even an LED indicator. After double...

                    Vizio M60-C3 Left Edge problem
                    by Pinky Deepak
I have a M60-C3 where the left edge has started showing issues as seen in the picture attached. Along with this, I also noticed some darkening on the left half of the screen which went away after I left the TV unplugged. i initially thought it was the led backlight that was wearing out but looks like something to do w the TCONN board. I searched this forum but couldn't find anyone else seeing this issue. most of them were LH/RH completely gone. any insights or guidance is appreciated.

Here's a video of both the issues: https://youtu.be/hMqc760nB3o
