We have a Fujitsu Siemens 40" LCD TV. I don't know who manufactures these. It has performed spotlessly since new, and I guess it's pushing 6 years old now, but we are really happy with it and it looks great cosmetically as well, so we are willing to do some work to get it up and running if possible. What happened is this; The other night my wife and I were watching a movie, and the picture suddenly shifted swiftly (literally looked as if it was being pulled out of the frame) to the right and disappeared. Now all we have is sound and the backlight. The picture is definitely gone, as I can not get any on-screen menus up or anything. I'm not a qualified technician, but I have done my fair share of work on hi-fi equipment and vcrs, so I'm willing to take a chance. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.. Thanks. John

Re: Fujitsu Siemens Myrica V40-1 LCD TV no picture, but backlight and sound working
I was able to find an identical TV at a repair shop, with a different fault, and the owner sold it to me for a couple of $. I removed the T-Con card and put it in mine, and now everything works fine! But might have to buy an extra T-Con card and put aside just in case, never know when this 'new' one might fail also.
Thanks for the tip
