No Display or Sound on Sharp Aquos LC-42D62U

I have a Sharp Aquos LC-42D62U which is about 4 and 1/2 years old. All of a sudden it will not display anything and there is no sound on it. I have unplugged all cables except for the power cord.

When I turn it on with the remote the green power light comes on and I hear the normal clicking sound. When I turn it off with the remote the power light goes off and I hear the normal clicking sound about 5 seconds afterwards.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would certainly appreciate them. Thank you in advance!

The service manual is available at Electrotanya, it's the third one on the list, better get the supplement, too.

Take the back off the TV and take a picture of the electronics of the TV. One shot, showing everything, is sufficient at this time. We'll ask for more later. Attach it using 'Manage Attachments' - below the text entry area.

I do want to add one thing in case it helps. When I turn on the TV I can see a very faint bluish tint.

That would indicate the inverter is working, but the main board is not processing the video and audio signals.

Most likely. There are actually two 'signal' boards - the signal input board and the signal processor board. I would say this is more likely to be the signal processor board.

Logically, the first step would be to check the voltage regulators on the boards and look for other repairable problems.

I have the same television with the same problem. I replaced the main processor board KD934 and no change.
