    Samsung 2443BWX

I acquired this monitor a few days ago, plugged it in, it powered up momentarily, then shut down.
Opened it up and found a hole blown out on the bottom of the power board (a first for me).
So I thought I would share my find as well as inquire about where to locate a possible replacement for what I believe to be the inverter. In addition, any thoughts as to what may have caused it's demise will be greatly appreciated.

For the replacement, look for an identical monitor with a broken panel.

As for what happened, mark another one up for lead free solder. That hole marks the (former) location of one of the output pins of the inverter transformer. There is about 1000 volts on that pin. The solder joint cracked, it started arcing, and continued to arc until it destroyed most of the PC board in that area.

For a number of reasons, both health and personal, I will no longer be active on this board. Any PMs asking for assistance will be ignored.

You are probably right as I have been unsuccessful in locating either the board or the inverter number via the usual search engines.
I thought I would post it here on the forum as I figured someone might know what inverter would be an acceptable replacement.
I actually had an idea on how to repair this if I could locate an inverter?
On second thought, I may be making an assumption that the inverter is bad.
How do you properly check these things anyway?
