...is such bullshit like I've seen on my ST-65ZF (4 Rail thing, I'd guess that the 240VA limit is present here)...
1 Rail for peripherials.
2 Rails for the CPU
1 Rail for both 6pin PCIe connectors
Where do you thing they put the ATX connector?!
You guessed right: on the rail with the PCIe connectors.
ARGH...
OK, that may have seemed like a good idea at the time, with Pentium 4 dual Die CPUs consume 150W or more and graphics card just about 100W more or less...
But with the introduction of the DX10 cards those things weren't able to deliver the needed current for the GPUs and switched off - due to bad design...
The irony is that lower end powersupplys than this one were able to deliver the neccessary current, though it's not a bad idea to just use the 4pin CPU connector...
because the second CPU rail is shared with the second PCIe connector...
And yes, I was wondering why my rig switched off with just one GTX 570...
Now I'm not very surprised the system switched off...
Desoldered this 6pin WTX connector with some 3V3 pins and used the free space for another PCIe cable...
Though could have given the ATX connector a seperate rail...
Or made it a single rail unit
Was half way there but then desided against it and desolder the cables and modify a little bit more
