    Security Camera Power Supply Carnage worth fix

    Guys need advice on if I shoud even fix.

    Will need caps replaced, Q1 blew up, another component near cap where burn is what was it?

    I wouldn't bother to fix it, it seems to be a plain regular ac to dc adapter, probably 0.5-1A output.
    Figure out the voltage and current (should be on the back of the security camera) and for a few dollars you can get a wallwart adapter, take out the pcb that's inside and just transplant the cable with the output jack on your new pcb:

      Horrible quality junk. Not worth repairing, unless you just want a learning experience.

      I'd keep the heatsink for a spare, though.

        Guys thanks on advice, you are correct it's a 12V adapter amps not sure but in the range or .5 to 1A.

        I might be cheaper to buy new one then replace some parts on this and still end up with crap.

        going to remove some parts to keep and junk the rest
