Hi everyone,
I'm looking for the schematic and boardview files for an ASUS Zenbook S16, model UM5606WA (2024).
The reason I’m asking is that I recently caused some physical damage while trying to clip the BIOS chip with a CH341A programmer and SOIC8 clip. Specifically, I knocked off some components (possibly 6, though I’m not 100% certain as I don’t have much experience with this) around the bios chip as you can see in the photos attached. I was able to recover 3 of them which are now taped on the battery.
To help with identification, here is the full motherboard info I got by scanning the QR code that is on a sticker on the motherboard: <removed by admin>
At this point, the laptop will be taken to a professional repair technician so I’m trying to gather any helpful documentation just to help him any way I can and save some time for both of us.
If anyone happens to have schematics or a boardview or anything really that might help I would be grateful.
And if there’s anything else I should provide that could help someone help the repair technician, I’m happy to assist.
I have attached some pictures of the damaged area and one from before the damage was done to help compare but this picture is not of high quality unfortunately.
Would damage like this generally be considered repairable by a skilled technician or is a trip to asus unavoidable?
Also, should I crosspost that request anywhere else?
Thanks so much in advance for any help!
