HP OMEN Special Edition 16b-b0005dx 16.1" wont turn on

Hi,

I bought this laptop three years ago. A year ago, I had a coffee spill. The laptop was working great until now, when I decided to clean the fans. After that, it won't turn on. The CAPS lock keeps blinking in a repeated fashion, and so does the power key. I had a tech guy look at it, and he says he can't find the exact schematics and is unable to fix it. He says there's no marking on the motherboard or components, and he's never seen anything like this before.

What is the best course of action? He recommended getting a new motherboard that costs upwards of $700. Willing to pay someone to fix it without having to replace the motherboard. Thanks.

Ouch, is that first picture the current condition of the board or an old one to illustrate the damage?
If it still looks like that I would give it a careful but proper cleaning and check for any shorted/missing components. It could be that some of that dirt moved when you took it apart and now there is a short somewhere causing this issue.

Yes Daniel. I took the first picture recently. I still have no idea how and why the laptop was working fine until now.

There seems to be some voltage mismatch and the tech said it's hard to pinpoint the exact point without having the access to the schematics which I haven't been able to find yet.
