Your bios backup is only 1MB. The ch341a software is`t good, try this alternative:

You have 2 bios chips on the board,you`ll see a white silkscreened number at the side of them, U23 and U32. If you`re using a sop8 clip then attach the charger to the board,after you attach the clip.Make 2 backups of each chip, open them with HxD hex editor and use the File Compare to check that both backups are identical (or use some other file compare method).If they`re not then make more backups until they are (its more reliable to desolder the chips). Post one of each backups and someone will help.

Thank you for the response. At this time I believe I have messed up as I have erased and written multiple bios files to the U23 IC. The only BIOS/partial BIOS i have is the 1 MB file I saved before writing new files on the IC. I was able to read and confirm files with 2 copies for the U32 BIOS. I have attached both to this. Really hoping I can do something about the U23 file . I have ordered a new laptop now to work from. Hopefully, I can fix this and cancel that order .. Any help is really appreciated. Would getting new IC's from internet/ebay help?

I was able to get the backup of U32 IC as attached, however, I only have the 1 MB bios file that I backed up for the U23 IC. I am not sure if that was a bad backup or the BIOS update had messed up the BIOS file. Attached both files here. Hoping this can be resolved..

HP folio 1040 G3 Bios - edit from clean bios

Hello team,
I was unable to get anywhere with my failed BIOS update on HP folio 1040 g3 i7 system. From flashing a lot of BIOS bin files, I didn't get anywhere. I believe the only next move would be to try and get the bin file from the HP website update and try to update system info in it before flashing.

Can someone point me to the right direction on what I would need to update on the bios file downloaded from HP webpage to make this system book?

The motherboard is : DAY0FAMBAC1 REV:C
The system is HP FOLIO 1040 G3 with 12 GB RAM , 256 SSD
IC seems to be Winbond 25q128fvsq 1621 for U23
I do not have the original BIOS from this before it got corrupted.
The serial seems to be : 5CD633ORHZ
I have downloaded the attached file.

Any help will be appreciated.

Your file is 9 mb
it should be 16mb
read again and post here

Hello,
Thank you for the quick update . unfortunately I do not have the bios file from the u23 IC. When I tried to flash it the first time it got bricked, it was only a 1MB file in it, which makes me think it never got updated .I did find a 8 MB file in the u32 IC. I have attached these files here. Where can I get the 16 MB file for the u23?
The previously attached file is just from the extracted content from bios update file from HP website.

I tried these two. For the U32 IC with the ~8 MB file, I kept getting a Verification error on address: 00002010 and similar errors. this didn't happen earlier. when I skipped verifying and wrote the bios anyway, I don't see the charging indicator as well on the laptop when I plug in the power. I have the battery disconnected. Unsure whether something shorted or its writing to U32 that did that.

i try many site to get bios for this model its not available in our forum but also another site also

its available only in few paid sites

here is everything for free

this file is available on the "vinafix site"

and this file also from "vinafix" is corrupted because its posted to fix the file by a vinafix client but
we just need that exact file for the reference because of this non good file we can build a new one for you

btw i attached 2 pic so you can see & make sure its model and both bios file given by numbers
you can google by this name is given in image 1 and type "vinafix" ahead to find that
