Lenovo ThinkPad L510 eeprom not detected

I have a Lenovo TinkPad L510 with a BIOS password and I am trying to read the eeprom with the EZP2019. The chip is not detected by the programmer and to add the chip I need a chip ID but I cannot seem to find it anywhere.

The chip itself is 24S08.

Can somebody please explain how I can read / write this chip?

You can short 2 pins together instead. See this thread for instructions -

I have tried that but it does not work with the Lenovo ThinkPad L510. You can get into the BIOS and change the settings but as soon as you want to disable the supervisor password you get a password prompt and shorting it again does not work.

This does work with many models as we are doing this every week but it's not working with a Lenovo ThinkPad L510.
