Hi All,

I really need your help guys, I cannot upgrade the disk of the laptop and reformat it. I tried to get to the bios of my laptop however it is asking for a BIOS password. Unfortunately I do not remember or nor did I put the password of the BIOS. After 3 tries of it putting the password, it is giving me an unlock code, it is a 10 digit code. Unlock sites are just only for 8 digit codes, and some sites are requiring for payment. I stumbled on this site and would really need your help guys.

What I tried as well is downloading the Bios update and setting the password=1 in platform.ini but it did not resolve the issue.

My laptop P2410-G2-M-54CH

The unlock password key is 1920505138

im a beginner i really apologize is the fd file the bin file. I checked the tmp files but it is only have the fd files

Here is the 8MB bios extracted from acer update you posted. It should clear the password but you will loose dmi data like serial number etc. Post Result.

PS: The fd file posted by you is acer bios update file and not your bios backup. The backup can be made with spi bios programmer like CH34A,Rt809 etc.

Thank you so much for this, i already flashed and it display but another issue exist. If cmos battery and laptop battery is connect it wont turn on, i need to disconnect the cmos batt and the laptop battery and insert the charger so that it will Auto On. anyone encounter this issue?
