Hi everyone,
This is my first post, and I'd really appreciate your help with an issue I'm dealing with. I'm trying to get a Lenovo ThinkPad L570 (20J8-002JGE) back to full functionality but have run into some challenges.
Backstory: I bought this laptop for my dad two years ago. When it arrived, I discovered there was a BIOS password, and the seller couldn't provide it. Sadly, my dad passed away last October, and I ended up inheriting the laptop.
I attempted to remove the BIOS password using a CH341A programmer and Flashrom. Unfortunately, after my initial attempts, the laptop stopped posting. I then flashed a BIOS image that appears to have removed the Intel Management Engine (ME) via ME_Cleaner. Thankfully, the laptop started working again, and I was able to remove the BIOS password using Lenovo Autopatcher.
For my dad, the BIOS password wasn't a major issue since he didn't need advanced features like virtualization. However, I do, and now there's an additional problem: a 30-second boot delay (even from sleep), which I suspect is related to the missing ME firmware.
Aside from the boot delay, the laptop works fine, but I'd really like to fix this issue. I've attached the current dump of the BIOS for reference.
Does anyone know how to restore the Intel Management Engine or eliminate the boot delay? Any guidance would mean a lot to me!
Edit: S/N should be MP-1CUSR8 (black label under battery).
