Hey.
I have a similar problem as most other users in this thread where the laptop takes a few seconds before the dell logo appears while booting. Additionally, when I power on the laptop, sometimes it basically does not turn on with the storage light blinking. I have to remove the battery and the CMOS battery to reset the bios, that helps it to boot again. Thought a bios update would fix these issues, but guess what, I can't do that either. the laptop fails to install the update and reboots back into windows rather than the update screen when installing the bios exe file from dell website.
these problems have been plaguing my laptop ever since i gave my laptop to a repair center to reflash the bios because the laptop failed to turn on before that. the reflash however fixed the Wi-Fi problem i had before the reflash as mentioned by numerous people in the thread. Do note I bought this laptop used and have no idea if the previous owner has had it reprogrammed before or not.
I'm planning on flashing the bios again but I'm pretty new to doing it myself, with this one being my first so I have a couple of questions.
1. Can i simply flash any of the previously posted bios files in this thread?
2. I'm planning on purchasing a CH341a programmer for this job. Will that work with this laptop?
do note I'm still researching on this so any input will be helpful!!
Best.

Do note I have two different speed ram sticks on my laptop, 1333mhz and 1600mhz. With just the 1600mhz ram stick installed, it had the same problem as you described. But installing just the 1333mhz stick got it running. Didn't investigate any further, hence don't really know if that had something to do with it or not
