Hi Folks,

I need help troubleshooting a BIOS repair - did I make a mistake?

**What happened:**
My laptop suddenly stopped starting. The caps lock LED blinked 3 times long, then 2 times short. After a while, it worked again. The next day, it wouldn't start at all, and now I'm getting 5 long blinks followed by 3 short blinks.

**What I've tried:**
- Ordered a new BIOS chip
- Dumped the old BIOS and flashed it back
- same error persists
- Examined the BIOS in UEFITool and found invalid entries - the BIOS appears to be corrupted
- Attempted to repair it and replaced sections using HxD

**My questions:**
1. I'm not sure if I did the repair correctly. Could someone check if I made any mistakes? 3 Files: backup.bin, backuprepaired.bin and the original bios from HP
2. If everything is correct, what else could be causing this error?

Any help would be appreciated!

Look for loose ram slot pins, corrosion in the slot and try different ram.

I already did that. Sadly no luck... I want to Look deeper into this problem, but first i need to get a verify, that my bios is okey.
