    Optiplex 3070 Micro bios

    Dell Optiplex 3070

    Hi,

As explained in my introduction, after many years I finally bricked one computer updating the bios (power shortage).

    Brand : Dell
    Model : Optiplex 3070 Micro
    Motherboard : 02N3WF
    Service Tag : 486KVY2
    Chip BIOS model : MX25L25673GMI-08G

I'm new at flashing bios directly so I bought a cheap CH341 dongle.

I tried it on an old computer and I successfully read the bios from a MX25L128Z3F chip with the SOP8 Clip.

The I tried to read the Optiplex 3070 chip BIOS to make a backup.
First problem, the chip is 16 pin and not 8, so i bought a 16 pin clip.
Unfortunately I'm still not able to read the chip, as I'm not sure how to connect the clip to the programmer.

Anyone of you have a diagram connection and a bios image for this model ?

    Thank you for your help

For the record I tried to read the chip but the result seams strange, as is mostly empty.

You must try to make a good backup first. If you can`t read from it then its unlikely you`ll be able to write to it either. The clips are poor and unreliable,if you can`t make a good backup then you will have to desolder the chip.

Thank you, I will try to find the diagram.
I'm still not sure how to connect to the chip, so desolder it will not help me for the moment.

I tried another power source after seeing that all its components are fine and I mean the mosfets INDUCTOR COILS AND CAPACITORS, fan does not spin does not generate video at some time the led that is embedded in the power button flashed 3 times then assemble again and nothing would happen again
