Some one have board surface laptop 5 15in? i need help.
maybe my board missing some resistor. my laptop has bios password. just remove bios ic to read bios for fix. now flash back laptop turn on and hang on logo 30s then off.

surface laptop 5 15in, MODEL 1979
i just have one surface laptop 5 13 in 1951, the board is same. (look at picture). just remove bios ic for read file, save file then use other bios ic to program back that file. put to laptop it turn on, hang on logo then off. now try put back original bios ic in to board laptop have problem. turn on, hang on logo then off
i dont know why. when i remove bios ic, i have remove keyboard and ssd.

Hello can someone help me fix the BIOS on my surface laptop 5 15in please? The laptop powers on and shows the surface logo for about 2 seconds then shuts off and repeats about 2-3 times an just fully shuts down. Attached below is the original BIOS dump for my laptop. I tried flashing a BIOS bin from another post here with the same laptop as me and it boots to UEFI settings but the serial number is not correct and it will not boot into windows or flash drive. SSD has been checked already and found no issues with it. Thank you so much for your help I greatly appreciate it.

post merged..next time look for a thread with the name and model, motherboard model of the laptop, and post there, if you can't find it, then make a new thread..

All new threads that could have been posted in existing topics are merged to keep the forum organised. If all of the surface 5 topics were seperate threads there would be hundreds of them.

Surface bios requests often go unanswered as nobody (afaik) has found a way to fix them easily. We can clean the ME firmware on some older models and fix the touchscreen not working, on newer models its very difficult. The serial numbers are a problem too.
