            Hello,

I need help checking and, if necessary, repairing the original BIOS dump from this laptop.

            Model: Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57-51K6
            Acer part number: NH.QEWEF.00A
            Motherboard: GH53G LA-L191P Rev 1C
            Serial number: NHQEWEF00A223094DC3400
            SNID: 7399512700352
            BIOS chip: Winbond 25Q128JVSQ, 16 MB, 3.3 V
            BIOS version: Insyde V1.17

The laptop powers on, the fans start and the keyboard backlight turns on, but there is no display. After approximately ten seconds, it switches off and restarts continuously.

The RAM was tested and replaced with known-good modules, but the behaviour remains the same. With all RAM removed, the laptop remains powered on and no longer restarts.

I also attempted Fn + Esc crisis recovery. With RAM installed, the USB drive is accessed briefly, then the laptop restarts before recovery can complete.

The BIOS chip was desoldered and read twice with an EZP2019+. Both 16 MB dumps were compared byte-for-byte and are identical. The original chip has not been erased or programmed.

The verified original dump is attached directly to this post.

Could someone please check whether the dump contains a firmware problem and repair it if necessary, while preserving the original DMI information, serial number, UUID and OEM Windows key?

            Thank you for your help.

LBTT1121 Thank you for pointing me to the repaired dump. I’ll wait for the new blank SPI flash chips and program it onto a replacement, keeping the original chip untouched as a physical backup with the machine-specific DMI data. This way, I can refit the original if the issue persists.
