one of my daughter friend give her this dell latitude e7440 computer a few weeks ago but the battery was dead so we had to buy a charger for it.we now discovered it has a bios password on it #78RQH12-1F66 CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH A PASSWORD PLEASE, TNANKS IN ADVANCE

Hi, I've been reading through this thread for help in unlocking the BIOS on my Dell E6420, without luck so far. I tried the link at bios-pw.org, nothing generated there worked.

My service tag is J6TX1Q1-1D3B. At the bios-pw.org site, I tried it lowercase, uppercase, with/without the -1D3B, with **** in place of -1D3B, and all combos thereof. Trying all of the suggested passwords (in the correct mixed case) got me nothing other than oodles of "invalid password".

Any further suggestions? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
