does clearing password affect windows product key activation?
if so can how can i correct it?
im unable to activate windows10pro, it says the product key can no longer be used

post your originale bios some one will extract windows key from there
or can fix it with originale key

Put more specs about your device (Model Number, Serial Number, etc..).
What have you done to remove the Password?

post your originale bios some one will extract windows key from there
or can fix it with originale key

can you lead me to a tutorial, i would like to correct it myself.

and wouldnt it be insecure to post my bios image with my product key and serial number, i just think that's information i might need, since someone might use my windows10pro product key and lock me out

Put more specs about your device (Model Number, Serial Number, etc..).
What have you done to remove the Password?

thinkpad e480 - i backedup image from chip, patched it from the thread :lenovo-thinkpad autopatcherclear sp- and wrote it back

now in the bios menu under restore factory keys it states windows 8, when it used to say windows 10

now i have problem activating thru control panel and calling on phone, it says key can no longer be used

If you don't want to upload your BIOS to keep your Windows Key save, you can open both files (before and after the patching) and search for this Hex Value and see if your Windows Key is there or not.

ok, but if it now says key can no longer be used, is it now hopeless? did they ban it?

How do you know that the windows was activated before clearing the Supervisor Password?

Just open the files using any hex editor and search for the Hex Value which I gave you to know if there is an OEM Windows Key or not.

thats another important clue i need to say... i dont think i ever activated windows, i right away made windows10 backup, installed ubuntu, now after 4 years or so i want to activate windows 10. but in january i cleared svp because i lost it

If you can't find it as the image, so there's no OEM Windows Key in your BIOS.

hey guys after all i was using the search wrong, im new to this
i found my product key in both the original and the patched, its the same product key that came with me windows edition, but its not activating, it gives me 0xC004C060, then it says key can no longer be used, then it says to contact third party seller or manufacturer

I think if you reinstall the OS and after connecting the device to the Internet the Windows will activate itself.
