Endpoint Security - HP Zbook G6

    Hi All

A while back I had some help unlocking the bios for my Zbook G6 - all went ok. I have been annoyed with a message when starting the machine which I cannot seem to get rid of - updating and resetting the bios - disabling all security options etc.

Anyway the message is "The HP Endpoint Security Controller settings have been recovered to their default state"

This happens at post - I click ok and the machine starts as normal

Any ideas how i can fix this?

    Many thanks

Well it depends of the unlocking method, upload the factory and the unlocked dump here to see what's the case.

P.S. Are you talking about this one:

Well, there's no point in fixing it, it's been three years since then, you're already used to this message.

          Just joking.
Well, you'll need to program the chip again in this case as I see.
Did you tried to reset security settings to default?
I don't know if it's worth the effort taking the laptop apart again?

You can try to set the administrator password, then to restart to see if it help.
If not, remove the password, reset security settings to default again.
Or update the bios to a new version, then repeat all the procedure again.
I doubt it'll help in your case but you can try.

If nothing changes you must read the content of the chip and then to program again the new unlocked file. In other words, you have to do again the same thing you did back then, but in the right way this time.
