Hi this machine has 4 BIOS variants but judging by the chipset your SKU is either 0AB0 or 0AD9
Try both one of them should work for you

Try these files for your SKU (0AD9)
Flash only 16MB file If it still doesn't work then flash both files

thnaks a lot, the first one : 0AB0 : after flashing UC5 and 6, i have just a single flash orange and nothing. When i flash with 0AD9, i have a white led during 20/30 seconds but nothing move

I'm looking for help with a completely dead Dell Inspiron laptop after an interrupted firmware update. Laptop Information

• Brand: Dell
• Series: Inspiron 15 3000
• Reg Model: P112F
• Reg Type: P112F001
• Service Tag: 3M9S7K3
• Express Service Code: 7877035587
• Motherboard: GDM50 LA-L241P Rev. 1.0 (A00)
• Board Date: 2021-04-19

What happened


The customer started a Dell Intel ME (Management Engine) firmware / BIOS update from Windows.

Unfortunately, the laptop was not connected to the AC adapter. During the update, the battery ran out and the laptop powered off before the update completed.

Since then, the laptop is completely dead. Current symptoms

• No charging LED.
• No power LED.
• No fan activity.
• No display.
• No keyboard backlight.
• No reaction at all with battery or AC adapter connected.

What I have already done

• Removed and dumped both SPI flash chips.
• Both chips are XMC QH64AH1G (8MB each).
• Read verification is OK.
• Downloaded the original Dell BIOS package.
• Extracted/rebuilt clean BIOS images for both SPI chips using the original Dell firmware.
• Programmed both chips with the rebuilt images.
• Verified programming successfully.

Unfortunately, the symptoms are exactly the same:

• No charging LED.
• No power LED.
• Completely dead.

I can upload:

• SPI dump #1 (original)
• SPI dump #2 (original)
• My rebuilt BIOS images
• Original Dell BIOS package (.EXE)
• Motherboard pictures

What I'm looking for


I'm looking for someone who can:

• Check whether my SPI dumps are corrupted.
• Rebuild the BIOS correctly while preserving DMI information (Service Tag, UUID, etc.).
• Confirm whether this motherboard requires additional EC firmware or another SPI chip to be programmed.
• Share working dumps from the same motherboard (GDM50 LA-L241P Rev.1.0) if available.

Since the failure happened exactly during an Intel ME firmware update, I suspect the Intel ME region or BIOS firmware may have been corrupted. However, after rebuilding and flashing both SPI chips, the laptop still shows absolutely no signs of life, so I'm wondering if I'm missing something.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
