    Toshiba Satellite P200D-115 BIOS

    Hello!

When trying to flash a newer BIOS version (possibly the wrong one, I have no idea) on my Toshiba Satellite P200D-115 laptop on Windows 7 using Phoenix WinPhlash, the entire system froze in the middle of flashing. And of course, when I rebooted, black screen, essentially the laptop was bricked.

So I'm asking here if anybody has the original BIOS for this laptop. The full model number is PSPBQE-01C002FR. I saw someone already posted 3 versions of the BIOS for a similar model (P200D-12O), unfortunately it didn't work for me when flashing via WinCrisis (USB flash drive was blinking, waited for a couple minutes, rebooted and still nothing).

If it has a soldered cmos battery unsolder it,or just one of the legs, leave it for a while or short the pads on the board, not the battery with tweazers for a few seconds. Resolder the battery and see if it boots up.

Unfortunately, that did not work... by the way, the fan turns on after some time, and I don't think this happened when the laptop was working. And when the (dead) battery is in, at that same time the (orange) battery LED indicator just turns off.

That's exactly the ones I had tried (the ones I mentionned in my original post), but they did not work.

I just noticed that WinCrisis doesn't actually matter. I tried formatting my USB flash drive and putting on it only the BIOS file, and it blinks the same as with WinCrisis. I looked a bit more online and found the BIOS was actually "JASAA", something I've never heard of... and I couldn't find any tool or tutorial online for it...

Use an SPI bios programmer to flash it. If there`s any problems with verifying use another bios chip.
