That is not quite true.

I mailed to Medion support about "missing" BIOS downloads and they replied that it is company policy to NOT make BIOSes downloadable straight away, but only if the requester can supply:
- the receipt of the original buyer of the laptop
- the serial#

Since I receive older laptops from quite a few people, I don't know from which person I even got this laptop, so, no receipt, and thus no BIOS

Never ever I encountered such a weird policy around BIOS downloads.

Post your backups. There are 2 bios chips, 2MB and 4MB .I have both bios,they are for the same board, a Pegatron C17A Rev 2.1

I managed to dump the AMI BIOS using "David's" bios dump utility.

In what way can I obtain a dump of that other chip? Bear with me: I am not an electrical engineer ...

Try and flash this one back.If it doesn`t work you will need to buy a bios programmer and make a backup of the other chip,then post it here
