Help for removing password for CASwell COB-H500

Hi, I'm pulling my hair out with this x86 network device.

    bios info: AMI aptio V
    Hardware: CASwell COB-H500
its OEM product, no support is available.
Device has no monitor output, Screen is redirected to serial port(VT100).

I have already tried the list below.

    - cmospwd *-> no luck

    - I read the BIOS using ch341, and checked with UEFITool, I thought I could find something useful. All I could find was the invalid part, which was "161406223039397D161A17781D6065657C19"
I used this https://www.dcode.fr/xor-cipher tool to decode it; it was "CASwell(COB-H500)L"
I tried different combinations to enter the password with this text. None of them were successful.

    - AMITSESetup region check -> all values were zero.* so I couldn't retrieve any hash.

    - There was another SPI EEPROM under the CPU (no, it wasn't I2C); I removed it; the computer boots but still requests a password. I checked the eeprom file, and it looks like some executable is lying there because I found FINI text inside. The chip is ST M95128.

    - It is not giving any code after unsuccessful password attempts. So no luck with that.

    - sure cmos reset not works since password is hard-coded.

I attached the bios and EEPROM files. Could you please give me some hints?
    Thank you.

    HP Omen 15-dh0052nf power-on & bios password
    by Nopslide
Hello everyone, I come here to tell you my problem regarding the power-on password. It is not a bios reset demand, and i can't have any access to windows. This is the bios and power-on password that is blocking all other things.

My Omen 15-dh0052nf purchased second-hand was configured with the bios password upon purchase (very simple password :P ).

Having decided to sell it in order to get something more powerful, I reset all BIOS settings and set a blank administrator password. But the power-on password cannot be changed to a blank one so I let the actual password set....

I need help with removing admin password from BIOS, please. HP-Specter-x360 13-0054na.

    Hello everyone,

I am very new to the BIOS scene and this is my first time doing this, so far:
    1. I have dumped the bin file and verified it using a CH341 (not with the clip) and AsProgrammer.
    2. I opened it using two different Hex Editors:
      1. HxD.
      2. ImHex.
    3. I have looked online for info/tutorial on similar models (couldn't find anything for the exact model), and the Strings/Hex Values to search i found count find the password block
    4. I tried comparing the dumped file and a black BIOS from HP website for the exact model, there were to many differences it would take me ages to go through

    Panasonic FZ-G1 MK5 - BIOS password returning

    Hello
I removed the BIOS password thanks to the help of one of the friends of this forum.
    https://www.badcaps.net/forum/troubl...61#post3637661

The batch from which the password was removed works correctly but... after some time, the BIOS password is set again, I reprogrammed the batch with the removed password, it's ok, there is no password, I set my password, ok, I can enter the BIOS with my password but...

What are my options for removing supervisor password from Lenovo Tiny M90q
    by Akira2007
    Hi all,

I have a Lenovo TinyPC M90q Build Date 21/09 with a forgotten supervisor password. Set it after buying, so the kids couldn't mess anything up.
Boot is locked to ssd only.
Windows 10 is running from ssd.

CMOS Reset with jumper didn't help.

What are my options for removing/reseting supervisor password?
    Is it even possible?

In "BIOS guides, methods, resources and tools" in section Lenovo are only Thinkpads, but I guess hardware would be comparable.
so my only option would be "Flashing EC"...

    93C46 and 93C56 EEPROM
    by SidneyCanadas
I tore apart my instrument cluster for my 2008 Toyota Corolla made in 2007 in Cambridge, Ontario, Canada and pcb location: IC6=EEPROM is a surface mounted device with part # of 93C46W7, some claim the EEPROM out of a Camry part # 93C56 will allow odometer to roll over 299 999 KM or miles. The data sheet for both is below:

    https://cdn.badcaps-static.com/pdfs/...c6e42b20d3.pdf 2

Anyone know if the Camry one will work on my Corolla?. And which EEPROM reader/writers do you all recommend I purchase that will allow me to read the old values of the old...
