You can replace the MAC in GbE (both at 0x1000 and 0x2000) with your own MAC from the sticker. There's a checksum in the GbE but afaik it doesn't need to be corrected for normal use.
OK, i will change if necessary with nvm *.bin setmac or nvmac *.bin xx.xx.xx.xx.xx.xx and then even the checksum will be corrected.
    Thank you.
    Cheers!

Are those nvm, nvmcheck nvmmac programs windows versions? Could you give me a hint what to search?
I searched a while but could only find incompatible or older versions?

      Thanks in advance!

No they are Linux programs. I use them on Ubuntu 20.

You can find them here :
        https://notabug.org/osboot/nvmutil.git

        and a little help here:

              Hy everyone,

Is there a specific software to do a BIOS backup before trying to mess up with it?

I would like to do some testing on the file

              thanks

                Hi!
                Read here : https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=103526.
There are several programmers and software for them.
And as method u can use a clip for onboard programming or soldering iron or hot air for de-solder the BIOS chip, read it first (for backup) then erase and program the modified version.
                Cheers!

Re: Lenovo L460 LAN issue after BIOS dump flash

                  hello guys!

I dug for a long time and figured out bios thinkpad l460.
I have such a situation: the bios chip is out of order. Nothing from all the forums brought any results. after numerous searches, I assembled the uefi assembly to make it work.
                  1. the problem is the lack of startup at all (solution on the bios chip when flashing "status reg" qe=1)
                  2. I will not comment on intel ME, I found about 30 working versions of 11.x.xx.xxxx I think there are a lot more of them.
3.!!!! wired lan not work error: what I just didn't try in the available bios versions. solution: flash image tool v11 >>> network and connectivity>>>wired lan configuration>>>Gbe PCIe Port Select>>>Port5 to Port4. some may do the opposite.
                  please use the solution
gbe region contains only the address and model of the network card and its id.
                  4. encountered system friezes: freezes are short, barely noticeable. solution - me 11.8.83.3874
                  5. bonus found where the lenovo logo is hiding)))
