Lenovo 300e Chromebook 2nd Gen MTK 81QC Developers Mode

Afternoon all,

I am after getting my Lenovo Chromebook's Developer Mode enabled.


So far I have concluded that ESC + Refresh + Power only works once the internal battery is disconnected, however it does not come up with the classic Google yellow [!], it comes up with "Please insert a recovery USB stick or SD Card (please see attached image)


And this screen does work for a USB recovery but CTRL + D or CTRL + U does nothing.


Does anyone have any advice please, I am aware that the 300e is a stripped down system for early learning and schools but it must have a developer mode surely.

i have the same model and it works with sometime and sometimes it does not. but putting battery back in and trying agian usually gets it. also when u unplug battery did u hold power button for 30 seconds or so? then plug it it to power and it should automatically go into it
