Lenovo laptop bought used. No power fan spins for a second and dies.

Don't know where to start. Very new to circuit board troubleshooting but have a ch341a I've used for eeprom in the past and a multimeter / board view

Any help?

Is the power adapter a working adapter and recommended for this unit ?

Remove all power. Meter in resistance mode.

Check the resistance to ground of each large coil. Each such coil will be linked to a local power supply so checking the resistance to see if there is a possible shorted cap on the board. The power supply will then turn off due to excessive current draw.

This is a start.

Thanks will try. I have tried a few power supply including bench no issues there.
Getting correct volt to power button etc
